Our primary language is Canadian English. This means that words like "colour" must include the letter "u." Some other important stylistic points are as follows:
- Two spaces follow the end of each sentence that precedes another: First sentence. Second sentence.
- A quotation mark is a single character that looks like this: "

- Final punctuation marks within quoted text, except for colons and semi-colons, are to be included inside quotation mark pairs (or within apostrophes serving as quoted quotation mark pairs); for example, "this is quoted text."
- Outer sets of parenthesis/brackets look like this: ()
- Inner sets of parenthesis/brackets look like this: {}
- A slash (a.k.a., forward-slash) looks like this: /
- A backslash (a.k.a., DOS slash) looks like this: \
- An elipsis must be comprised of three consecutive periods: ...
