Our primary language is Canadian English.  This means that words like "colour" must include the letter "u."  Some other important stylistic points are as follows:

• Two spaces follow the end of each sentence that precedes another:  First sentence.  Second sentence.
• A quotation mark is a single character that looks like this:  "
• An apostrophe is a single character that looks like this:  '
• Final punctuation marks within quoted text, except for colons and semi-colons, are to be included inside quotation mark pairs (or within apostrophes serving as quoted quotation mark pairs); for example, "this is quoted text."
• Outer sets of parenthesis/brackets look like this:  ()
• Inner sets of parenthesis/brackets look like this:  {}
• A slash (a.k.a., forward-slash) looks like this:  /
• A backslash (a.k.a., DOS slash) looks like this:  \
• An elipsis must be comprised of three consecutive periods:  ...
